A memory fr childhood
I Grew up on the streets of New York City a long long way from California and it’s maturing skate scene. I think I showed an interest in skateboarding and so I got a skateboard and my parents bought me this book because they didn’t know anything about it. I loved the photos in this book and the sense of adventure and all of the tan, blonde, loose clothing wearing or bathsuit-wearing people who showed me the moves in photos I could follow. By the time I got the book a lot of the technical information about bearings and wheels were becoming outdated. I guess in 1975 or 76 sealed ball bearings were a new thing! Anyway I just love this book and it’s mostly nostalgic for me.
