Good desoldering iron for the money
This is so much easier than a regular soldering iron for desoldering work. With my cheap Weller SP40L I blew through chisel tips like crazy when desoldering. This tip is much more durable, but as it wears and gets grooves it becomes less effective on very small solder joints. Also, it can't go over some large through-the-hold components like heatsinks. Be sure to keep a paper plate handy so you can spit out the solder as you go.

Unbeatable for the price
Great for looking at circuitboard solder joints. Kids (and adults) have a great time looking at everyday objects - fabrics, wood, coins, etc. Insanely great value. Bought a bunch to give away in birthday party goody bags.
