Amazing amplifier 10/10

I had an Anthem MCA-20 powering my Paradigm Studio 100 v3’s for a while with my Anthem Statement D2 pre-amplifier and that amplifier was great, but having heard this amplifier in a shop, I was convinced I couldn’t get anything better at this price point. The upgrade was more than justified, worth every penny. When I first set up this beast of an amplifier I was floored by the improvement to the soundstage. I was expecting a great improvement to micro-dynamics as what I’ve heard in the audio shop and the shop guy reinforced, but being more familiar with my own system than anybody else, I didn’t expect as much of an improvement as I got. First thing I noticed was the harshness that I was used to in certain parts of the music I listen to was drastically reduced, even in my room that is in desperate need of treatment. After noticing this I found a claim from Parasound in the manual about the MOSFET driver stage of the amplifier and how it helped with getting rid of “dissonant” frequencies which from what I’ve attained information-wise seems to be related to phase of frequencies being played, and on paper it sounds great in theory, but having heard it on my system before reading it on paper I’m more impressed. The low end was tight and powerful when it needed to be with my previous amp, but now the sound is weightless. It sounds like the resistance of the driver against the power that’s driving it is inexistent. The mechanical equivalent of increasing the torque on a motor is the best way I can relate it. This amp really produces and the synergy with my speakers is beyond impressive. It’s really hard to describe in full detail what it sounds like because I find that it’s physically impossible to imagine a speaker system in your own mind that is equivalent or especially better than what you actually have, maybe it’s just me? I would recommend this amp to anybody looking for high end audio equipment, this beast of an amp can conquer anything as far as I can tell. It’s hard to imagine getting much better than this and there’s got to be an arguable sense of diminishing returns. I’m not expecting an upgrade for a long while.
