Bester Handy im ganzen Welt
This phone (and its sister T28) is the only phone that ever made any sense. No camera, no music, no web (only the derelict WAP), no GPS, only the most rudimentary games. It's very small, gets 5 days on the battery, does telephone, texting, and alarm clock. It has the cool active flip-front that answers when you open it. What else do you really need?. The T29 is slightly better programmed than the T28, and has even more rugged hardware. My first T29 was in my carpenter's pocket for more than five years.
The only slightly more sensible phone is the T28 World, which works both in the US and Europe. Also, the T28 has the cool flip-up button on the side, whereas T29 wants to be peeled open with the little tabs on the flip-front.
If you like the look of the T28 (and the flip-up button) the inside of the T29 is a straight fit into the T28-shell. Remove the antenna, snap-on front and inside there's 4-5 screws and you're done. I never want another phone.

Good alternative
1 of 1 found this helpful Clear silicone rubber, very well made. These should last longer than the originals did. I suspect I'll install them with a brass shim on top to facilitate turning the knobs.
A nice finishing touch on the restoration of my old TD124.
