Academy New Bedford Whaler Plastic Ship Model Kit 1:200 Scale Open Box.1994.

New Bedford Whaler is Charles W. Morgan museum ship!

The nameplate on the stand says so! This 1/200 kit is a little gem. The detail is pretty solid, with the exception of the stern/transom decoration, which is simplified. My kit looked well-made with good injection moulding and no flash. The moulded copper hull bottom, simulated gunports, and whaling boats are a highlight. Around 60 pieces. Only 8.5” long jibboom to transom.
