I love you but you make me nervous

I like the rockabilly vibe that i get with this, but it stops working occasionally and has happened to me while playing live. Really like what it produces, just scared it won't do what it's meant to do, when it's really important. When I got it there was something loose inside that I could hear shaking around, maybe I just got a defect?
