Outstanding budget processor for gaming
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought the i3 10105F for a new budget gaming build. I’m running Battlefield V on Ultra at over 60FPS in this setup. i3s have really improved over the last few iterations of intel chips so if you’re looking for good performance but are looking for somewhere to save a few quid then this is the processor for you.
Make sure you get the right motherboard for it though. I paired it with a Gigabyte B560M Aorus Pro motherboard. This is an amazing combo that allows the processor to run consistently at 4.2-4.2GHz, close to the max boost speed. Other mobos can limit this speed, so choose wisely.
It’s worth getting this (the 10105F) over the 10100 as it is tuned slightly higher and the price is pretty much the same. Remember that anything with an “F” at the end doesn’t have on-board graphics, so needs a discrete GPU. If you’re a gamer, this won’t matter as you’ll want a graphics card anyway, but if you’re just doing office work etc. then look for the version without the F or you won’t get a picture on your display.
Recommended for those who want to build a speedy budget system.

Great motherboard for getting the most out of your processor
Recently bought the Gigabyte 560M Aorus Pro for a new budget gaming PC build and paired it with an i3 10105. Got to say I’m really impressed. It looks great and the price was reasonable. It’s not the cheapest board available but you get what you pay for and it’s worth the extra few quid more than a UD or PRO-VDH.
In practice, this motherboard allows my i3 to run consistently at 4.2-4.3 GHz, way above the minimum clock speed and close to the max boost. Some motherboards limit this but the B560 Aorus Pro lets your processor go as fast as it is able to without overclocking. Great for a budget build as you can safely push the cpu to its limits meaning you get the most out of your hardware.
Would heartily recommend.
