Manifest Destiny: Democracy as Cognitive Dissonance
    Sep 17, 2022
Good title. Anyone who reads this book and cannot see what is going on is suffering from cognitive dissonance.
This books explains clearly and concisely the neocon agenda to maintain unipolar hegemony in the "New American Century" launched by George H. W. Bush after Gorbachev ended the Cold War peacefully and Reagan hailed a new strategic partnership where there were only winners and no losers. Bush rejected the partnership and maintained a triumphalist attitude and thus led the way to destroying an unprecedented opportunity for world peace. He relied on his CIA "old boys" network to launch several operations to destroy the Russia, China and Yugoslavia. The neocon agenda has morphed into US foreign policy and Engdahl explains how it came about and how it has been conducted.

Must read by expert in US-Russian relations
Every American should read this book to gain understanding about the origins of the new unnecessary Cold War with Russia.
