Timber Jack use is limited
For warm weather conditions, this can help to lift wood off the ground and out of undergrowth to cut, but in the cold, it is of limited help. The "spikes" will not penetrate the log and get a bite to lift the log plus the base is not very stable in snow. The recommendation I gave it is limited to the conditions you are cutting in and what you are expecting out of the Timber Jack. The jack also struggles with any larger diameter log. 2 1/2 stars and a OK recommendation pictures it better.
