It worked
Its the standard alienware battery. removed the old one and poped this one in. straight forward and now my laptop works away from the wall again

Coil whine at certain power draw levels
The unit works good but as I got it used I think it was sold due to the coil whine. When specific loads are put on the PSU the coil whine is fairly loud. It's about the loudest coil whine I've heard from a PSU ever to be honest. It doesn't do it at Max load or idle but some games that are simple or a medium compute task will make this thing sing. Price is decent though and I can probably use some silicone to fix the whine when I determine which component is the one at fault
