full size 1911 with rail

I bought this holster for carrying a 1911 full size with a rail(not a full rail and no accessories). I wanted a holster that would hold the pistol high on my belt, while holding it in close to my side, which it does. The workmanship is excellent. This holster is very stiff, so I wrapped my pistol in the plastic it was shipped in, and put it in the holster for a few days to relax the leather a little. It is still snug, but it has loosened up to where the gun goes in nicely. My 1911 is stainless, and is pretty heavy, but with this holster I can wear a hooded sweatshirt and you cant tell I'm carrying it. A stiff belt is required to pull the gun into your side if you want any possibility to conceal it. Also the holster is rounded to fit against your side. This is a very nice quality holster.
