Help is on the way!
Once again I need to qualify the durability question. This a Scale model and not intended as a toy! It is a superb model of a 1964 to 1970 Dodge A-100 Van. These Vans are produced by Brekina in numerous versions This particular version struck me as it represents the type of Econo Ambulance that was used by small town Fire and Ambulance departments in addition these types were also used at Construction projects where Advanced first Aiders were employed with an basic ambulance of this type for patient evacuation if required; like all Brekina models you wonder if they don't have some type of miniaturization device as the detail & quality is superb you'd think they just made a real one smaller. This particular unit is right up there as one of my all time favorites as I happened to be one of those young guys who stood by to supply medical aid at a site of close to a 1000 men. Brekina in my view hit the nail right on the head With the Econo ambulance look , plain white with "Ambulance" across the rear quarter and a single red light......Perfect!

Revell Metal flake Model box made it through time
IF you are a collector of vintage model kits you no doubt know of the Revell series of '62 model year Chrysler Corporation cars. These started out as annuals but Revell also decided to ehance the desirability of these cars
by issuing them molded in tinted clear plastic, containing actual metal flake! The containers that these models were sold in were distinctive with ornate art work in a raised box instead of the "flat box" that the annuals were issued in. IF you have a Revell Metal Flake model and no box to display it with, it is essentially incomplete , These boxes of late are not that common and to locate nice ones that have made it through the ravages of time is amazing in itself. This particular box is not only in nice condition it came with the correct instruction sheet and a few of the sprues and custom parts that were supplied with these kits! To obtain such a box with the additional "goodies" is a major win for any serious collector of these kits!
Thankyou!

More than a hunk of rubber!
When "playing" with old cars there comes a time when hand fabricated parts (ie: sheet metal parts for rust repair etc/ are just not enough , We need the actual part as originally made , this little item falls into that category! This part seals the floor were the emergency brake cable exits , one would think that just using a chunk of rubber and a few screws would be enough ...not for the majority of individuals that care about what goes into their restoration or basic repair! This part is an exact duplicate of the original right down to the moulded on part number! One look and you can see that it will fit and work exactly as the factory part which is the whole idea of "reproduction" . If ever you do need this piece do not hesitate to scoop it up It's a good one!
