No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency - FUN, INSIGHTFUL, WITTY ... Wish More Seasons Were Forthcoming
1 of 1 found this helpful This DVD covers the early books in the world-wide, best selling series, entitled "The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency,' by Alexander McCall Smith. The books in this series are uplifting and heart-warming in their coverage of the people, culture, and traditions of Botswana (Africa).
This DVD set of 3 discs covers the early books in that series. The actors chosen to portray the books' characters are excellent. The DVD set follows the books fairly closely (of course, some liberties are taken to make the video more appealing and better adapt the plots to the TV screen. IMHO, this DVD set is a great value and you the entertainment value of the stories on it are wonderful.
My only regret is that the powers-that-be did not continue producing more episodes after this first season. It would be wonderful for BBC/PBS to take this on as a project, re-assemble the cast, if necessary, and continue capturing the author's entire series of books into future TV episodes.

Marvelous Job in Capturing Signals Even in Fringe Areas
I live in a fringe area (50-60 miles to nearest TV transmitter towers); yet, this antenna does a great job pulling in the digital signals off-the-air and providing razor sharp reception.
