Grim Reaper
I've built over 5000 models in the past 63 years, this is one of the best I've seen. Very little flashing, instructions are easy to following and parts fit is also very good.

0 of 2 found this helpful The custom repaint was a good job but with some help it was a lot better. I did some touch up work on the paint job
and added hand rails and a few more details. After a complete cleaning and oiling the unit ran smoother. I added a lamp assembly to the dummy unit and replaced the lamp in the powered one. All in all it's a nice addition to my collection.

Lionel 8204 and coal tender
After receiving the 8204 I checked the frame, motor, lights and cleaned the engine. Serviced all moving parts with oil. The engine was quiet and pulled very well with four cars behind the tender.
All the detail was in place that came with the engine when made. There is room to improve that detail with brass wire for handrails and white safety lines along the side of the engine and tender.
All in all for it's age, Lionel still makes them to last for years to come.
