An explanation for the force required to install the bolts is needed.
The installation went smoothly except for one thing. The bolts for attaching the brackets to the truck required an unusual force to install, making me wonder if the thread pitch was wrong. Lubricating the bolts did not help. Also, two of the bolts for attaching the boards to the brackets had defective threads which indicate a quality problem, however, extra bolts were provided so this didn't cause any difficulty..
Hint: The threaded holes in the truck are flat and have burrs on them, so starting the bolts into the holes is difficult. I used a drill bit to chamfer the top of the hole which helped quite a bit.
