Used For Shrinking Heat-Shring Tubing
I build and fly RC model sailplanes and am inclined to do lots of soldering projects. Prior to finding this hand tool, I always used my mono-kote heat gun to do the deed. Now with this Rework Station I can do the job much more easily with greater precision. I recommend this tool for any hobbyist who does a lot of soldering projects where heat-shrink tubing is part of the process.

It's A Great Learning Tool!
1 of 1 found this helpful It's not better than I expected but it sure is good and worth the cost. There are some improvements over version 7.5 but none that I personally find all that useful. V8 is more like a video game than a simulator so I hope that changes real soon.
The video quality in v8.0 hasn't improved at all over v7.5 that I can see but its always been very good. I'm primarily interested in electric powered sailplanes with spoilers and/or flaps of which there are few included in either version so I hope that changes soon!
One major improvement in v8 over all previous releases is allowing the use of ones own transmitter (only some models apply) which personally I don't think is necessary since the 8 channel InterLink-X Transmitter (USB connection) included with the full v8 is very satisfactory. If you choose to use your own transmitter, you have to buy the "dongle" that is an additional expense that I think should have been included with the complete package version.
I recommend the use of this product to anyone in the hobby since it clearly improves ones skill especially for those pilots just beginning in the hobby or ones that live in parts of the country that isn't conducive to flying model aircraft for up to 5 months each year because of extremely cold/windy and snowy conditions.

Mighty Fine Mounting Bracket
What more can I say? They work as advertised and will last forever. I recommend them to anyone wanting to mount a solar panel on the roof of a motor home or building.
