TUMBLE DRYER, NO TUMBLE DAMPER
0 of 1 found this helpful Bought this machine from an on-line suppler just under 2 years ago for £499.00p. This machine has a large drum 9KG infact, impressive! It is also nice to look at. It might look nice, but the sensor is rubbish. If you put your mixed load in from the washing machine the dryer machine does not have the sence to dry each item seperatley from a mixed load. It will tell you that it's ENDED when a lighter items such as a T/ shirt, cotton shirt, is dry but then leave a larger cotten dress or evan a different quality cotton shirt or towel damp. You can imagine what would happen to jeans right? It has a dryness level button 1,2, and 3 which is normal level. I have never been able to use any of the other levels other than number 1. More dry level and most item still came out damp after 1-2 hours.
When I say long cycles I mean LONG CYCLES no half hour or one hour cycle is going to dry your mixed load in this heat pump condenser, sensor tumble dryer. If you want your jeans, towels sheets lets say 2-3 hours. Remember the A rating? and the 6th sense overdry protection. well tumble damper is what you get. A person can have 6th sense but a tumble dryer, well it's a machine so there goes that 6th sence. You will have to check if your washing is dry at the "end" cycle. Take out all the items and re-load with the damp items, because you are not allowed to interupt a drying cycle once started. Remember this machine is suppose to work out how long it takes to dry your mixed load.
There is also a drying time adjustment button so you can select the duration of cycle in ten minutes steps up to 180 minutes. well if this machine said "END" there is no way in hell this machine is going to let you use this option. we tried it and it said "ended" after a short time of tumbling.. ie, damp clothes.
well does this really save you money in the long run?
There is also alot of maintance required with this tumble dryer. Not only the filter at the drum area, but also the filter at the bottom. I found I had to clean it because the red indicater light would come on and did not go out until this bottom filter was also taken out and inspected or cleaned.
Just under 2 years our tumble damper has given up trying to 6th sense, so our wasing has become wetter and wetter.
I think we will be going back to our standard tumble dryer which is vented.
I see no need to pay £799.00p for just a tumble dryer. They keep adding more and more buttons and gadgets to what was once a simpe to operate machine and actually did what it said it would do. dry your clothes.
I purchased my first tumble dryer in the late 80's and it lasted 15 years. Bought my second in the late 90's that lasted about 12 years with one belt change. Do they have any modern tumble dryers that last this long any more. and don't cost £799.00p?
I would not recommed this machine to a friend.

Quality Singer
I love this CD. Lemar is a true quality singer. I would love to see him in concert. Fantastic! He makes me feel proud to be British. He should be seen more on TV and heard more on the radio. He reminds me of Luther and Otis. Love his Music. Fantastic buy.
