The end is near but how near is the question.
The content is not one of Vonnegut's best and he would have said that himself. He had said at one point that each book he wrote became more and more difficult to write and the finished products were not as good as he would have liked. This, often, is the result of time and wear on the body and mind. The book raises many ideas that intrigue Vonnegut and a great deal of sarcasm and irony fill the pages. Looking back from my current point of view, there are many politically incorrect ideas and there is talk of global freezing as a result of pollution and instead of the Chinese buying up a lot of the world, he has the Japanese doing this. Otherwise, it is another book with no real bad guys or good guys but just people acting out the constant ideas that enter their heads without much thought for the future. This, Vonnegut later said, will be the end of us all. And So It Goes.

Two snap shots of Live Crosby 1970 and 1989.
Wonderful example of Crosby at a time when he was at his creative best while inspired by so many wonderful artists. If you like his album: If I could only remember my name, you will find the 1970 recording with various members of the Dead very groovy and far out. The second cd is from he 80s when Crosby was going through a great deal going to prison and getting clean while re-connecting with Stephen, Graham and Neil.

pushing play, I can almost smell the dope in the air, man.
The music is pure psychadelic Airplane, takes you right back to the raw sound of the time.
