Ad Man, Interrupted. Doesn't cover any new ground...but good read...
I bought this book because I read that Yates has been an inspiration to the creators of Mad Men. It was a good read, but this is what would happen if an episode of Mad Men flew up, hit the fan, and splattered Modernist mental-drama everywhere. Like a macho version of The Bell Jar.
An appropriate alternative title: Ad Man, Interrupted. Good, entertaining, but the theme is a little tired these days...
