I have a similar older type. The metal is much thicker. If I had bought it local I would have returned it
Metal too thin. Mark’s left on chrome from packaging. I’m not sure how to remove them without marking finish

Tail light review
This is a quality fitting unfortunately it is let down by its lense seal. In my opinion the 'rubber' lense seal is too hard and as such you cannot tighten the lense screws hard enough to make a good seal( not without cracking the lense anyway) I have had to use a smear of sealant. This will of course make things more difficult when the bulb requires replacing.
