PORCUPINE TREE In Absentia DVD Audio 2003 Lava Records 5.1 SEALED OOP!

The sound on the DVD-A rivals the CD version. This DVD-Audio version is the best. It's the one to get.
This surround sound version of the album won the award for best 5.1 mix at the 2004 Surround Sound Music awards in Los Angeles. It was mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Elliot Scheiner. In my opinion this is at the top of the list of best sounding recordings by Porcupine Tree. It's right up there with the audio quality of their "Deadwing" album, which I rate #1. You need a DVD-Audio player for this. A normal CD player will not play this disc. It's definitley worth playing on your home theater's 5.1 setup. It blew my socks off.

The RCA VT244 with hanging filament & foil getter, stands out from the rest.
Not all are created equal when it comes to the VT-244 rectifier. Look for the version with a Ken-rad style bottom D foil getter, hanging filament & in the coke bottle "ST" shape. This is one tube you will definately want to use in your audio system. Overall, RCA made some of the very best 5U4G (ST shape) rectifiers. Give this one a try. You are going to love it.
