There is a difference with Oneida Sets that are made in different countries
I have the same exact pattern set from Oneida that was made in Indonesia. This set is made in China, and apparently they don't use the same molds for making the silverware. So the size, shape and weight of the pieces are slightly different. Of course the China set is smaller and lighter than the original Indonesia set. But it's close enough that I will live with it. Apparently, the Indonesia set isn't available anymore. My Indonesia set is over 10 years old and holding up great! Hope the Chinese set holds up as well...
Now I have a set of 24 for larger family gatherings, etc. Attached photos show my old Indonesia set next to the new China set... "same" Oneida pattern! The company that I purchased the new set is great, and their prices are reasonable! They just don't have the old style of the same pattern available anymore. It's not their fault. I hope this is helpful for anyone who is trying to match Oneida sets.
