Good amadeau!
This amadeau is the good stuff, whole pieces not ground up like some sell. I use this for flint and steel firestarter and it works very well, even better if charred a bit on the edge.

Great book!
If you are interested in carving wooden spoons, this is a terrific book to get you started. The author, who goes by Barn the Spoon, is British and a very talented, self-taught craftsperson. What I enjoyed and value the most is his detailed attention to nuances in wood carving. The fact that there are 14 spoon patterns is a bonus! Well worth the money...
