Bad tuner and screws.
I got these a few weeks ago restoring a 12 string guitar. Putting the tuners on went okay. I pre-drilled pilot holes and still had 2 screws break. I have never had that happen before. I am just getting around to putting the strings on tonight and one of the tuners is faulty. I cannot get it to continue to tune the D string. It quits tuning and just spins. I am very frustrated as I write this because the guitar is done all but this and now I cannot get it to my customer as soon as I would like. Overall, I do like Grover tuners and this is the first time I've had these failures.
