This is not a genuine apple charging cable.

The picture that is shown is that of the Apple cable, with the characteristic USB connector logo on the while plastic of the USB connector. What they sent is not that. When I plug it into my iPhone one way, it charges. When I plug it in with the connector flipped, it does not charge. Genuine Apple charger cord can be used either way. That is the beauty of the design. This is some generic cable. I suppose you get what you pay for.
