So Far - So Good
The Y-Clip and plastic piece have only been installed for a little over two weeks. Even after using the "Fd", forced defrost and turning off the refrigerator for about 2 1/2 hours I wasn't able to remove all of the residual ice in the ice maker. I installed the Y-Clip and plastic piece anyway, as I didn't want the food in the refrigerator to heat up any more.
So far the ice maker appears to be working better, with no visible evidence of excessive ice build-up. I won't know for sure how well it does until several months have passed.

Excellent Product For The Price
2 of 2 found this helpful Cable appeared to be well made. It replaced the existing cable which didn't have any obvious signs of failure. Even though I ordered for the wrong year, my fault, I was able to get the cable to work. The Mac Pro no longer booted with a question mark.

Tip Appears To Be Hardened
Unlike some small screwdrivers I purchased elsewhere, the tip on this pentalobe screwdriver didn't disintegrate after a few uses.
