Wonderful SW release

If you’re buying this you know what you’re in for. Even though this disc is now pretty old, quality-wise, this is surprisingly good. Lots of extra shorts and sordid goodies.

one of the standout 70's cop shows

The 1970's was loaded to the gills with cop shows. Kojak was a smash from the begining and for good reasons. It had solid writing and a wonderful cast of veteran character actors, talented new faces, Telly Savalis of course and the only thing that stole any of Savalis' thunder was New York itself which was approaching it's zenith of 70's decadence. Viewers glimpsed fun city in all of its dangerous, rough and tumble glory. The precinct offices that Kojak worked out of were wonderfully worn. This is the show that inspired all of the NY flavored cop shows that would come later. It was pleasant to find that these episodes hold up over 30 years later.
