Great walking shoe
Helped to cushion the discomfort from a callus in the metatarsal area. I can walk 2 1/2 miles without pain.

Reduces pressure off the ball of the foot
I have metatarsalgia since bunion and hammer toe surgery 6 months ago. I read that this style of shoe helps with the healing process. It does reduce pressure off the ball of the foot when I walk. Altra sizing does run smaller. Size 10 fit perfect when I normally purchase 9.5 in an athletic shoe. It also gives good arch support. Wish I had started wearing these zero down shoes so much earlier in life.
