SV 150 better than the current YSV 104
if you will buy YSV 104, better buy SV 150 better.
the control box alone of SV 150 has tons of function. and the sound of SV 150 is good.

one of the best violins from Yamaha
Take it from a violinist like me.
I have the black one of this model.
The violin is really not that heavy even with batteries. I would consider it lightweight. In fact, all Yamaha violins for me are good in terms of weight. Good thing they kept that in mind. Well, knowing Yamaha. They know the best and their reputation is established worldwide.
The only thing you should be aware is it uses 9volts battery. Somewhat costly and it rechargeable batteries are not safe. it creates static sound.
The size, function and sound are all good. Sadly no 5 string version but it is ok.
I just hope Yamaha would retain this model in their product line. Yamaha SV 130, 200, 250 are highly recommended.
This violin fits regular violin cases so it is perfect. This is a violin to love and keep for a long time.
