Logitech Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse - Graphite
Nov 10, 2022
A good ergonomic mouse, but lacking one important feature.
The Lift replaces the previous model MX Vertical mouse, which was large and cumbersome to use in some respects. The Lift is much smaller and all buttons are easily reached with my fingers. Whereas the MX used a rechargeable battery, this runs off a single AA battery. The old Logitech software has been replaced with the Logi Options+ software. It downloaded quickly and installed easily. One thing that surprised me is that there is no option to customise a double click, which is a major reason that I use an ergonomic mouse. I hope Logitech bring out a firmware update to make this possible. If you can live with that inexplicable decision, the mouse works just fine.
Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Ergonomic Mouse (Free Postage)

A good idea, but the button placement is less than ideal. There are better ergonomic mice out there.
I bought this mouse to try out a replacement for our ancient three button vertical mouse. On unpacking, the instructions were confusing and inaccurate, however it was easy enough to figure out. There are three ways to connect this device; by USB cable (included), BT, and wireless (dongle included). On installing in Windows 10, Windows will offer to download and install Logitech's management software, and I let it do that. In Windows 7, you will have to download and install yourself. Then it came time to choose a button to designate as a double-click. I cannot use Windows without this indispensable featre. But if the four programmable buttons, none of them worked very well in this regard, and in fact two of them were out of my reach. I've put this product away again for emergencies. It may be handy one day, but not while the old mouse is still alive.
