compact and light phone + great camera + timely Android upgrades and updates for 3+ years - no brainer!
4 of 5 found this helpful One of the few good compact and light mid range phones out there, the camera set is still one of the best, if not the best at that price point. Having the assurance that Google will provide upgrades to Android 12, 13 and 14 as soon as they are available + timely security updates for 3+ years is maybe the biggest differentiator with other brands out there. Most cheaper chinese brands provide you 1 Android upgrade and 2 year of updates at most if you are lucky, that make them expensive toys in my opinion, I normally keep my phones for 4 years at least and I don't want security to be optional. So, looking at the cost per year, this is in fact cheap. Finally, stock Android is better optimized than many other badly implemented versions of Android installed on many other phones.
