Linear power supply: Does not generate RFI.

This is a LINEAR power supply, not a switch mode supply. It is much heavier than the switch mode supply because it has a bigger transformer inside that operates on 60Hz. This supply does not generate RFI because it is a linear supply. The switch mode supply generates RFI because it is a high frequency switching supply. It is lighter because the transformer does not have to be as big since it operates at a high frequency. This can generate noise in the AM bands because of this, whereas the linear supply will not. I highly recommend this supply over the switch mode supply over the switch mode supply.
