Great for heavy-duty uses or where strength matters.
This thread is very thick and strong. Use it where strength matters or you want a visible/decorative stitch. I use it for hand sewing wear-leathers on saddle blankets and also some tack repairs. The only negative I've found, is because it's pretty thick, if you are repairing something that has smaller, pre-punched holes, this might be too thick and give you a lot of trouble getting the needle through the leather. In other words, might not be good for repairing bridles or anything with petite stitches. But this is awesome for wear-leathers, nosebands on hackamores, heavy-duty repairs, things like that.
PS. The brown color is very dark, almost black. I like it, but was surprised at how dark it is. It can almost be used interchangeably with black. There is nothing wrong with that, but just a heads-up!
