Motosafety Mpvas1 Teen Safety Gps Vehicle Tracking System & Obd Device

Great product but administering is tiresome.

Overall, a very good product. Build quality is excellent. Mapping accuracy is adequate. I bought the ODB device and one installed my Motosafety device stuck out like a sore thumb. I removed a strain relief cable tie from the wires that went to my ODB socket and was able to tuck the entire socket and device completely out of view. The daily notifications are valuable and can also be disabled easily enough if desired. The only issues I have with the user interface are that: 1) the posted speed limits depicted on the map are not always correct so I have to check each speeding violation manually to determine if the map depicts the correct speed limit for the road in question and a 2) the "edit speed limit" function is cumbersome. The edit feature prevents you from selecting two points on the same road if the road's name changes within that segment. So then you have to use trial and error to determine where exactly the map perceives that the name change occurs to be able to successfully correct the speed limit. Another thing that I find odd is that we have no control over the settings for "rapid acceleration" and "harsh braking". I have no idea how rapid or harsh they are in real life. I would benefit from a video that illustrates these concepts. This is certainly not a showstopper, but I would like to understand how abrupt these event violations actually are. I would definitely recommend this to every parent of a new teen driver.

Excellent balanced affordable reel with Quickfir II.

I have Parkinson's Disease and particularly benefit from the large 'Quickfire' feature. Reel balance is beautiful, action is smooth and flawless, and I personally prefer the double-handled retrieve. I've tried other brands and models over the past 45 years and my Shimanos ALWAYS end up being my favorites! Shimano's reliability is second to none -- I've never had a Shimano spinning reel fail during normal use! But I've had my share of other big-name brands that inexplicably turned into meat grinders. Shimano has always earned the spot as my favorite spinning reel.
