GM OEM Airbag Air Bag-RCM SDM ACM Restraint Control Module 22759738

Great price, but buyer beware!

This was a great price for an OEM GM module that I needed to replace due to a parasitic voltage draw through the case due to water damage in the interior of my Chevy Avalanche from a clogged midgate drain. The problem with buying these parts and having them shipped to you is that they have to be taken to a GM dealer, or a garage to be programmed to your vehicles VIN. These modules are not plug and play, you just can't plug them into the vehicle and expect them to work. Figure on spending between $100-$200 more to get it to work. This is just another way of GM forcing you to go to them for repairs and stopping backyard mechanics from saving money. It's been said on the internet, you own the vehicle, GM owns the programming, and that this was done to deter theft of vehicle parts from you. My opinion is they did it to control us from repairing our own vehicles.

This product is awesome. I just jack the car up, put the bottle under and let it drain. I did buy the extra accessories though. The 90 degree nozzle and end cap work great I also bought the extension due to my recessed oil pan. My only problem is I need more for other vehicles.
