The three titles of this Pandora trilogy are a surprising sum-up.
It is by no means easy reading. In fact, it is quite difficult to get into and understand all the technical details. But Frank Herbert is without a doubt a genius and a philosopher, who wrote this trilogy as one big Science Fiction Epos. It is so detailed, so convincingly written that this life in Pandora becomes real and serves as a metaphor, a paralel life of the one we know. The book also gives a stunning analysis of Christianity, how it works and what the influence is on our behaviour.
I am thrilled and impressed by this trilogy.

A compelling vision of a pandemic
It is the best book I have read, so far. With an unbelievable, thrilling vision of what is happening in the world now. Frank Herbert described into detail the white Plague. Today it is the Covid-19 virus pandemic, but the reader knows he is talking about the same thing. Captivating book. Not always easy because of the large scientifical explanations, but very much worthwhile.
The political, economical, historical, and theological aspects of a pandemic are worked out and presented almost analyticallly, the characters are believable. Emotions like fear, rage, become mindboggling to life.
