Sleekform Ergonomic Kneeling Chair for Posture - Knee Stool for Home and Office

Great chair, awesome value, and lightning-fast delivery to boot.

The ergonomic kneeling chair really has not changed much since about 1995 in terms of basic design. It's fantastic for motorcycle riders like myself who really prefer this position. The principle is straightforward: it takes a ton of stress out of your lumbar spine by not forcing you to straighten that curve while sitting. For people like myself, prone to lumbar back-pain, it's a God-send. This particular iteration has a steel frame with a hydraulic strut for firmness and easy adjustability, which is a leap forward in convenience relative to the old turnbuckle system, which required you to get out of the chair to adjust it. The cushions are about twice as deep as those in the original chairs, which solves the problem of sore shins that was common with the earlier iterations. There's still an adjustment period where your shins may get sore for a few days, but very quickly it becomes second nature and is comfortable for 12-hour stints. The scooter / inline skate wheels are a brilliant touch. They make rolling around on the chair a little too much fun, and dispense completely with the cheap and clattery feel of the typical plastic wheels found on these chairs. All that said, there is one thing to be aware of: with the scooter-wheels and the thick cushions, this chair sits up nearly as high as a bar-stool - a good bit higher than a normal chair. I got around that problem by simply removing the wheels altogether. So basically it's near-perfect and not-quite perfect, but a substantial improvement on the original. What pushes it firmly into the 5-star category is that here the chair is about 1/3 the price of identical units on "that other site", and delivery was the fastest of any product I have ordered from either site (internationally).

Head & Shoulders

Ordered these as a last-ditch effort before buying full 1.5v batteries/charger set-up, because rechargeable 1.2v batteries, at about 1.35v fully charged, can only keep my mouse & keyboard xmitting for a few hours before they need a recharge. Pleasantly surprised to see that the fully charged voltage on these is around 1.45v. On the same application (bluetooth keyboard & mouse), I drop them in & don't need to think about them again for 5 or 6 days. Utterly worthwhile.

Comfortable & stylish.

Although only 53.5cm across, they feel very wide. Really comfortable, and they give the bike that rakish 1920s velocipede look.
