The Electro Voice RE27ND Rules the Airwaves
1 of 1 found this helpful Electro Voice microphones are the top-end for orators and broadcast professionals, and I purchased the RE27ND for its reputation. This mike will collect the softest tones at close range while filtering out a live auction in the next room. That's an exaggeration, of course, but not by much.

Crumb's Genesis Goes Right to the Heart. His Best.
2 of 2 found this helpful I'm not a "fan" of Robert Crumb, but I have admired him as an artist since I saw his earliest work in the 1960s. I am AWESTRUCK by this book. Literally. When I heard several years ago that Crumb was starting on "Genesis," I thought, My God, there's enough fertile ground in Genesis for his grisly mind to run amok, with the most blasphemous results. I imagined vulture-headed women with massive breasts and colossal legs and Snoids riding on their hips and shoulders, as God hurled lightning bolts and plagues and myriad unpleasantries upon them.
But, no. Amazingly, Crumb delivers the Goods in his own inimitable fashion. The Book of Genesis is VER BATIM. It is beautiful, it is barbaric (as the biblical texts are rather barbaric), but it is entirely representational; meaning, Crumb DEPICTS the stories, he doesn't mutilate or distort them. I say it's a very proud work.
Not his "greatest" or "most sensational" work, please don't misunderstand me.
The Book of Genesis STANDS ON ITS OWN, apart from Crumb's previous works. It's beautiful. It actually brought a tear of happiness to my eye. And that's a feat in itself.
