SD450

This has been a good camera for me. I have a canon 620 Pro w/assorted lens. You could not tell which camera took most of the pictures. The SD450 has more pictures with "red eye", but I can fix that with software. (The canon flash is mounted on top. The greater distance between the flash and the len, reduces red eye.) The biggest differance is with action shots. The SD450 is limited to a 400 ISO. I have taken some shots of kids jumping on a trampoline where sometimes they are blured, other times not. I would have used ISO 800 or 1000 for my canon. The kids running and playing have not been blured. Pictures taken driving in a car, have not been blured either. I send most of my pictures through Walmart online, and I make sure I get the Gloss finish. (The one hour here is a Satin finish). I bought an extra battery through e-bay. Remember that the higher the mH (milli-Amp) rating, the longer the battery will last. I purched a car charger adaptor with it, so I'm good to go on vacation too. I also bought a 1 GB SD Card. The SD450 came with a 16 MB SD card, which gave me about nine pictures. If I remeber correctly, the SD450 said 683 pictures with the 1 GB SD card, at the same setting. At this point I would want some kind of plastic protector for the LCD screen (e-bay?) and a small hard carring case to protect it when I'm on the go. (Best buy?). I really enjoy owning this camera more than the canon. It's in my pocket and goes with me, even around the house. There are a lot of shots we would not have if not for this camera. My kids 9 & 11 use it. I make sure they are careful. We delete what we don't want. Some good family times and memories. Only cost me the time it takes to recharge the battery, two hours. Anouther reason I bought the extra battery. (Was too expensive with the film camera).

Wind sculpture I like and would buy again

This is a wind sculpture that is unique and I like the color combination. Usually one of the two larger blades will spin. The wind has to pick up for all three of the blades to be turning. It's pretty solid for a wind sculpture. All three blades each have a bearing. Paint looks like powder coat. This is the second time I purchased this style. The first one held up well until one of the larger blades got broke. If a storm or bad weather is coming, I can just grab the top section and bring it inside quickly or put it somewhere safe.
