About
L. Van Warren grew up in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois. For ten years he was a system's engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He was the technical director for the "Earth from Space" image sponsored by National Geographic. He is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild and coined the phrase, "If this car had wings it would fly". He wrote an interactive calculus book featuring computer algebra and symbolic geometry. His interests include inventing, teaching, mathematics, playing the violin, bicycling, swimming, and table tennis. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Artificial Intelligence.

Working replacement
works well, be careful with Lithium batteries, especially during charging.

Nice case
I like this case, it has two compartments and room for two bows. It protects the instrument in a shell covered with fabric with a full perimeter zipper.

Nice Beater Laptop
I got this laptop just to run one piece of code, but it ended up being a nice coffee-shop portable.
Sturdy construction is worth something compared to more recent HP offerings which are just delicate polystyrene-feeling inside, waiting for one wrong move...
