It works great for what I wanted to do.

I purchased the phone to use as a blood glucose app monitor and display. I had a Note 9 which I replaced with a S23. The BG app is from Dexcom which right now doesn't support the S23 but does support the S8. I do not connect to any phone carrier. I do use it for Bluetooth and my local wifi network and it works great for those functions. I am a bit disappointed in the screen shadowing but for what I wanted vs the price, it's fine. When Dexcom does support the S23 I can use this S8 for other things.
