With a few modifications, it works as well as I wanted it to do.
I purchased this bench because it is light and portable and can be taken to the field in my vehicle. Upon assembling this, I made several changes needed to use this rest. First,the seat adjustment in the upper hole was too low for me,so I drilled new holes in the upright to raise the seat higher. Also, the back rest on the seat was useless, so I removed it. The table top is made of expanded metal, and had dimples in its surface. I covered the top with a 1/4 in piece of plywood to level it and still use the fabric cover. Other than that, i'm pleased that it works as it was intended.

It works as advertised.
If you have a radio on, it will transmit considerable static through the radio.
