Mele Generic Usb2.0 Women Knit Heated Mittens Warmer Gloves half finger gloves
    Jan 13, 2017
Not as warm as I would have hoped, but effective and versatile
The way this works is that there is a detachable heating element connected to the wire and a velcro strip inside the glove to which you can affix it. The advantages to this are numerous; you can easily adjust the position of the heating element within the glove, and if you get a strip of velcro to put inside other gloves, you can wear them with any other pair-- or just skip the velcro and treat them like chemical handwarmers. I wore these while camping, so I used a 2400-mAh USB rechargeable battery (not included) that I clipped to my pants, and wore the wire on the inside of my shirt and ran it through the sleeves. The gloves go on and off fairly easily, but if you're disconnecting and reconnecting them a lot, you might see some wear and tear on the cord (one of the glove-side connectors on mine is starting to get some exposed wire on the joint. I'm a bit concerned about it, but so far, it's stayed secure.) They get warm quickly and stay warm, but they don't get hot. This might be a plus, but for me, it was a minus. The heat generated was not enough for outdoor use, although it was more than sufficient for indoor use. The battery I used lasted about a day before I needed a recharge. This was not continuous usage; I unplugged them when my hands were okay, and replugged them when I needed more warmth. I spent a lot of time outdoors, and I probably ended up using them for about two hours before the battery ran out. On the bright side, I didn't need to use them as much as I thought I would; the downside is that they did run the battery down fairly quickly. If you plan to use them without a ready power source available, bring spare batteries.

...I thought it was a pair. Had to get an extra, but I will be getting more of these. They're quite good. I bought this for use in a roleplaying game, so I wasn't looking for something super-bright. This was exactly what I was looking for. It's bright enough to be clearly visible, but not blinding. It's hard to see during the day, so if you need it for daytime use, this one is probably not your best bet, but it's readily identifiable at night. It stays on very well and is quite hardy, but it's also not so tight that it's uncomfortable. The one caveat: it's easy to accidentally click the lights off if you hit the switch, so check them periodically to make sure they're still on. The only real downside to how snugly they go on is that if you put them on over clothes, it's very difficult to move the clothes (I had put them on my wrists, so rolling up my sleeves was a perpetual ordeal, and every time I forgot I was wearing them and tried to remove a layer, I would get them caught in my clothes. Then again, I've never worn anything like these.) As long as you're mindful of where they are and you don't have issues with constricting clothing, though, it's just a matter of getting used to having them there.
