For the money, they're good tuners...

I would call these good 'entry-level' locking tuners. They aren't on par with Sperzel's or Fenders, but they're also 1/4 the cost, so it's a bit of 'you get what you pay for' with these. I use 0.10 gauge (put these on a Mexican Strat) strings, and they don't actually lock down the B and high E strings completely. The locking screw is as tight as it can go, but the string still moves back and forth within the tuners for those two strings. But for $20, that's good enough for this guitar. I wouldn't put these on a higher valued guitar, but for an entry-level/lesser valued type instrument, they do the job; on 4 out of 6 strings anyways. ;)
