Keeps gas lid closed but a little hard to open if not lubricated.
It fit perfectly and actually keeps the lid closed. However, I find that I need to lubricate the little bulb like thing to make sure it opens. Otherwise it won't.

I have 2 new keys for my car now!
I was a little nervous it wasn't going to fit my 1990 Miata but it did perfectly. I did as I was told by this company. They recommend inserting the key (of course it's not going to turn) and if it goes in all the way then it is the right key. If not even the tip goes in then you need to return it. I'm very happy with this product!
