Brought back such wonderful memories.

I had Burgher neighbours and they were so typical of how Carl Muller describes them to be. Cant wait to buy the other two books of the trilogy and some of his others (only if the price is similar - I am retired and ...). This was a good deal. I had burgher classmates growing up and many of our family friends were burghers. I even have a dutch burgher Grandma.

Nice handle for my fridge.

It's a door handle. You fit it up and it works. The screw holes and set up notch are in the correct positions so its east to DIY. Quality is nice, and it is good value, for the part ; BUT NOT WHAT I EXPECTED HOWEVER, it was not an exact match with the original, shape is different. As a result there is a lack of continuity between the freezer section handle and the fridge section handle. I can't be bothered exchanging this so I let it be, not the same though. The original door handle hadthe top part flattened out so that it would seem to continue with the freezer handle when closed. The freezer handle is the same part upside down. The replacement is curved at both ends. Looks a bit silly.
