Aptly descriptive.
Well wrought, engagingly written, and an engrossing biography of Charles M. Russell. Brushes away the myths and the misconceptions about him with a fine, realistic presentation. Contains personal photos and pictures of some of his art.

Apt title for scope and content of the book.
An engaging, well written account from a broad perspecttve that synthesizes recent scholarship. I have found Rutman is always reliable, sound and insightful comparable to Jill Lepore's studies.
