Latent Damage

I was pleased with the product, the price and shipping, however when I recently used the warmer, I noted that the base had a small chip in the inside which was not discernible upon normal viewing. However, when I turned the base (warmer) over I noted the small chip and when I pressed what appeared to be a small crack line another chip fell from the immediate location of the missing piece of porcelain. Under magnification it was noted that there appeared to be a type of bonding material on the exposed surface of the broken chip.
