Well built, long lasting, still seviceable by, Excalibur, but essentially a trouble free machine
I've used one just like it for over 30 years, and its still working. Still American made, as far as I know, One of the few quality American made appliances.still available on the American market.
My old one is full of figs being dried as I write this. If you are in to preserving your own home grown food, one of these needs to be in your kitchen.

Excellent source for exploded views of engine parts and descriptions of the various parts.
