Writing style is easy to read & follow the Islamic women's rights issue.
Interesting perspective of woman's rights from the standpoint of the Islamic culture. Worthwhile reading to try to gain some understanding of the current international issues we face.
Author writes from her personal experience and knowledge.

1 of 3 found this helpful This book is a biography. Style is not "easy" reading. It is thought provoking in the described journey from an impoverished Islamic childhood to a free thinking open minded adult. Hard to imagine how one can rise above the culture learned from the family and community of birth. Recommended reading for anyone questioning recent world events and ones own belief systems.
